Privacy Policy

Account details: name, email address, phone number and password (stored hashed). If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google.

Order details: items, delivery addresses, delivery notes, the phone number a rider should call, and gift recipient details when you order for someone else.

Wallet and payment records: wallet top-ups, debits, refunds and the payment reference from our payment partner. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage data: pages visited, referrer and approximate state, used only to improve ChowDock.

With your permission we read your device location to suggest your city, to price delivery fairly by distance, and to let your rider find you. Riders share their live position while delivering. You can turn location off in your device settings and type an address instead.

If you order through our WhatsApp line we process your messages and phone number to take your order. Orders are only confirmed when the 8-digit ChowDock ID you send matches the phone number saved on your account.

To process and deliver orders, calculate fees, share your name, address and phone number with the restaurant and rider fulfilling your order, run referrals and rewards, prevent fraud, provide support, and meet legal obligations.

Restaurants, riders and shoppers (only what they need to fulfil your order), our payment partner IdentifyOrg, and infrastructure providers. We do not sell your personal data.

You can delete your account in the app (Account, then Delete account) or on our delete account page. We remove your personal details and saved addresses. Order and payment records are kept in anonymised form for accounting and legal reasons. See data deletion.

You may access, correct or delete your data, withdraw location permission, and object to marketing at any time by contacting us.

ChowDock is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted, and sensitive endpoints are rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password and ChowDock ID private.
